"The Milngavie Book and Arts Festival is going to be a wonderful addition to Scotland's cultural life, and a real boon to the whole area. I hope
everyone will get involved and make this first festival a memorable celebration of the town and its passion for books and the arts."
-- Sally Magnusson, author and broadcaster

Welcome to our festival website to introduce our first Book and Arts Festival taking place in the picturesque village of Milngavie right at the start/end of the West Highland Way.
We have a truly exciting events programme for you to choose from and enjoy with a few surprises thrown in.
Over the week, we have a book event marquee which has an exciting range of authors, with subjects ranging from crime and popular fiction to Scottish and Local History.
A visit to this festival is a chance to see local music and dance performances held in the bandstand along with pipe bands, folk music and singing in the square.
There will craft demonstrations and workshops including weaving, spinning and calligraphy and craft stalls where you can buy locally made gifts.
Enjoy wonderful art, both in the art marquee and our West Highland Way exhibition marquee.
As you can see this promises to be a fantastic event. Official printed programmes will be available from April/May but please keep an eye on the web site for regular updates. If you would like to receive a free copy of the programme – please email us with your details.
