Events at Mudgock Country Park
We’re delighted this year to be staging two events in collaboration with Mugdock Country Park. Here’s a message from the team up at Mugdock (which is well worth a visit!)
Milngavie Book and Arts Festival at Mugdock 2011
We are delighted to be part of this festival and are hosting two evenings for your enjoyment. The events start at 7pm but since our Theatre Café Bar will be open, why not come along early for a bite to eat and drink first? Tickets cost £5 and are available from the Park Office. Fiona Martynoga, Wednesday 7 September, 7pm
Fiona, an author, editor, museum researcher, feature journalist and campaigner for sustainable lifestyles will give a fascinating insight into Scottish woodlands.
She edited “A Handbook of Scotlands’ Trees” and was a contributing editor to “Woodlanders: New Life in Britain’s Forests”, both produced in association with Reforesting Scotland.
Peter Wright, Thursday 8 September, 7pm
Peter Wright’s book “Ribbon of Wildness – Discovering the Watershed of Scotland” serves to define the geographic Watershed of Scotland for the first time.
