Courtroom, Milngavie - Saturday 10th Sept - 10.00 - 10.45am

Join in this celebration of Tove Jansson's ever popular Moomins books, with a fun, interactive event for children aged 2+. The event includes games, songs and activities, all themed around Moomin and the Birthday Button, and ends with an interactive telling of the story  under a night sky parachute!

Devised by professional storyteller Justine de Mierre and presented by experienced children's workshop leader, Liz Burton-King.

Courtroom, Milngavie -  Saturday 10th Sept - 11.00 - 11.45am

A fun, lively and interactive event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this delightful picture book by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. The wonderful descriptive and rhythmic language of 'Peepo!' is brought to life in this fabulous event including songs, games and storytelling. Devised by professional storyteller, Justine de Mierre and presented by experienced children's' workshop leader, Liz Burton-King. Suitable for age 2+.

Courtroom, Milngavie - Saturday 10th Sept - 12 noon-1pm

Come along and meet debut author Scott McIntyre and hear him read from his successful first picture book, 'Jake and Dixie: Super Magic Lightening Boy'. There will be lots of fun activities including colouring in, dot to dot, and story writing. Scott has enjoyed great success with his first book and has had a lot of coverage in national press and has also appeared on TV.

Suitable for ages 4-7 yrs.

Glasgow writer, illustrator and cartoonist, Moira Munro uses cartoon strips to poke fun at the world. Wouldn't you love to make fun of the adults in YOUR life? Have a go at turning wicked ideas into cartoons and try out Moira's secret drawing tips. It's even more exciting if you think you're rubbish at drawing. Just bring some mischief, and get ready to have fun!

Suitable for ages 9-12yrs.

Stories read by Lewis MacLeod, the voice of Postman Pat in the popular children's TV programme.

Courtroom, Milngavie - Saturday 10th Sept - 3pm

Ballet-themed event with the author most famous for the 'Princess Poppy' books. Her new book, 'Cloudberry Castle' is a lovely story about ballet-mad Katie MacKenzie and her dream of turning an old castle her family has inherited into the best ballet school in Scotland.

Come dressed in your ballet/princess outfit and enjoy storytelling and crafts with Janey. Prize for the best outfit!
