"The Milngavie Book and Arts Festival is going to be a wonderful addition to Scotland's cultural life, and a real boon to the whole area. I hope
everyone will get involved and make this first festival a memorable celebration of the town and its passion for books and the arts."

Welcome

Milngavie Book & Arts Festival - 3rd - 6th September 2009- Milngavie Town Centre

Diary of Book Events & Online Ticket Booking >>  Tickets will be available from Mid July

Following on from a highly successful inaugural festival last year, this year’s event will again feature a wide range of activities including readings, exhibitions, live music, trader stalls and a continental market. The centre of Milngavie will be buzzing throughout the four days.

Readings by well known and established authors including Christopher Brookmyre, John Cairney, Karen Campbell, Caro Ramsay, James Robertson  and Robert Douglas are already scheduled and we will keep you up to date as the programme develops. Like last year, we plan to have a diverse range of authors and a variety of events – so we think you’ll find much to enjoy over the Festival period.

We’re pleased to announce that Viv Lumsden will open the Festival and Sally Magnusson will chair a number of the weekend events. We are also delighted to welcome back Katherine Kubrick who will be exhibiting in the arts marquee.

As you can see this promises to be a fantastic event. Official printed programmes will be available from Mid July but please keep an eye on the web site for regular updates. If you would like to receive a free copy of the programme, please email us with your details.
