Monday Swing: Monday 5th September

We know the festival starts on Tuesday 6th but we’ve made an exception for this incredibly talented swing band. A bit of artistic licence thanks to the band’s name.

”Swing” originated in the thirties, and was introduced to the listening and dancing public by bands such as those of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, and Glen Miller.

Performed in their bright, lively and entertaining style by this ever-popular community-based band with a guest vocalist, and MD Ian Jenkins.

Proceeds go to the Dunbartonshire Wind Ensemble Trust, supporting young players.

Milngavie Town Hall, 8pm. Tickets £4/£3.50 (C)
